Lead And FollowSample
I’ll obey the leaders God gave me.
We don’t obey the leaders God gave us just because we’re supposed to. We do it because it shows love, respect, and obedience to God! God loves it when we obey our parents and leaders every single time.
That’s not the only reason God tells us to obey in the Bible. God loves us a lot. He knows obeying keeps us out of trouble, it keeps us safe, and it helps our leaders see how responsible we are. We might even earn more respect, more responsibility, and more privileges!
So let the obeying begin! Watch the video, then use the Bible verse Colossians 3:20 to make some Bible Verse Beads. They’ll help you remember that it pleases God when you always obey!
Bible Verse Beads
- Get a piece of paper, scissors, tape, and some markers.
- Cut the paper into 14 pieces. Make any shapes you want.
- Write one word from Colossians 3:20 on each shape. You might have pieces left over.
- Make a necklace by taping the words together in order.
- Make extra empty shapes if it isn’t long enough.
- Wear the necklace to remember the Bible verse!
Talk It Over: What makes you want to obey? What makes you want to disobey? What do you think can help you choose to obey more often?
