Once a believer accepts Christ as her Savior, confessing and repenting of her sin, all of her sins are forgiven. Believers ‘die’ to their old life, their past mistakes, and their old ways. The power of Christ’s death and resurrection allows us to ‘die’ to our old fallen nature, just as Christ died. We are then resurrected with Christ, born again, as a new spiritual creation empowered by the Holy Spirit.
What past beliefs, attitudes, and habits are you attempting to resurrect in your life? Remind yourself daily that all things are new with Christ. You no longer are the person you once were. A born-again Christian inherits Christ’s righteousness and power to live a holy life dedicated to God.
Father God, I thank You for all things new in my life… new mercy, new grace, and new motivation for living. Help me to stand in the face of those who doubt my transformation. Help me to live boldly for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
