DAY 4 OF 6

YOU ARE MADE WHOLE

Finding your identity in Christ leads you to His power to overcome sin, shame, and insecurity. But let’s be real, sometimes the choices you make out of your sin, shame, or insecurity only end in hurt. Maybe you have dealt with some difficult life circumstances or the consequences of your choices have been extremely painful. No matter the hurt you may feel, the Lord is able and willing to be your healer.

Mark 5 documents the story of a woman who suffered with a bleeding issue for twelve years. She spent everything she had to get care from doctors, and her condition only grew worse. But this woman heard about Jesus and thought if she could just touch His robe, she would be healed. The woman pushed through the crowd, and as soon as she touched Jesus’s robe, she was immediately healed. Catch Jesus’s response, though, after the woman told Him what she had done. Jesus said her faith had made her well. He told her to go in peace because her suffering was over. The spiritual and societal implications of this woman’s condition surely left her heart hurting on a daily basis. Yes, she needed physical healing, but Jesus also knew how much the woman needed emotional healing to move forward after her miracle.

You are loved by a God who understands your pain. He is close to the brokenhearted. Because of the suffering Jesus endured on the cross, you can be healed and made whole. The presence of God is a safe place to exchange all of your past hurts for healing and wholeness. As you put your heart in His hands, He will make you whole again.

SAY THIS OUT LOUD: I CAN LOOK TO JESUS TO BE HEALED AND MADE WHOLE.
