Break Free From Worry and AnxietySample
Many people worry about anything and everything, and that’s not limited to adults. Young people worry too, like the boy who prayed one night, “Now I lay me down to rest, I hope to pass tomorrow’s test. And if I die before I wake, that’s one less test I’ll have to take.”
One reason anxiety is such a common problem is that it’s available in so many varieties. We can worry about yesterday, today, tomorrow, jobs, money, health, children, what people will say or think or even nuclear war and global warming. There is no lack of things to worry about. The signs of anxiety are all around us. Some people use alcohol and illegal drugs to calm their fears or escape reality. Others seek constant entertainment or even go shopping in an attempt to quiet their anxieties.
We don’t have to spend a lot of time proving that anxiety is a problem. What I want you to see is what God says about it, because that’s where we will find the answers we need to break out of the enemy’s stronghold of anxiety.
What are you worried about today? Are you prepared to give your worry to God?

About this Plan
Everyone has to deal with anxiety. Our tendency is to fret about today and worry about tomorrow. So it’s easy for worry and anxiety to get a stronghold inside us, keeping us from experiencing God’s peace. But best-selling author Tony Evans shows us that we don’t have to just live with these emotions. Instead, we can overcome them as we better understand the love and care of our heavenly Father.
