Fully Devoted

DAY 3 OF 4

Stay Focused

God is for you and has so much in store for you. He has plans to prosper you. Many do not see the fullness of the power of the Almighty in their lives because they are half-devoted believers. God is calling you to be fully devoted to Him. Give Him your heart so that you can fulfill the purpose He has for your life. Make room for God to come and transform you.

Satan does not want to see the goodness of God over your life. He wants you to live for everything but God. He likes it when your potential and heart are devoted to this world. This is why he throws everything at you. God sees you trying to go forward, yet you feel like you are going backward. It is spiritual warfare. The enemy knows that if he stops you from being fully devoted to Christ, then he stops the plan that God has for you.

It’s the linchpin. We always want to have all the benefits without the structure underneath. God wants you to say “yes” to Him to enjoy the fruit. God engages with us to change us. He loves us too much to allow us to stay the same. He is a God who transforms our inner being. The truth is that a life devoted to God is a journey. There will be moments when it will not be easy and where our struggles subtly take us away from God. The enemy shows up in ways that you would not imagine. It can get you frustrated and angry. The answer to moments like this is Jesus. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete. The Bible talks about things or people who will slow us down in our faith. Sin in our lives can pile up high and begin to weigh us down.

Fix your eyes on the Pioneer and Perfecter of faith. Jesus knew temptation. You have to stay focused and allow the Spirit to move in you. The Spirit will speak and challenge you. The weight will start falling off. His power will fill you up. But you need full devotion to Him to see Him move in your life. Sin will feel good at times, but it leads toward a road to death. Get rid of sin and devote yourself to the Almighty.
