Attitude of Gratitude - 7 Truths About Being ThankfulSample
Grateful for God
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
Showing sincere gratitude begins with an understanding of its definition from a biblical lens. Often, we might think of gratitude as saying a lot of, “Thank you’s” to other people who do nice things for us, but the thankfulness begins with an inward-looking affirmation for the goodness in our own life. The gratitude for what you appreciate as goodness is directly attributed to the gift of life given to you by God the creator.
All goodness that inspires gratefulness is only possible because God the Father first desired a relationship with you. It’s the same reason you can experience what true love is. It’s because God first loved you and showed you what love looks like is the reason, you’re capable of knowing love also. When you show gratitude, it shows that you understand your identity in Christ and the ability to experience gratitude shines from that direct connection to God. Are you grateful for God the Father?
