The Power of Hope: 7 Days to Hoping in the LordNäide

Hope During the Storm | Jesus Christ
Think for a minute about the storms of life— a failed business, divorce, financial hardships, disease, needy parents, challenging teens, and the list goes on— that you’ve experienced. You may even be in a stormy time right now.
When a storm arises, do you respond, “God, I trust You to bring me through this”? Or do you tend to say, “I’m doomed! There’s nothing anyone can do?"
One time, as Jesus and His disciples sailed across the Sea of Galilee, a terrible storm threatened their boat. The disciples panicked, woke up the napping Jesus, and asked, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” (How many times have you asked Jesus that question?)
When storms rage and fear rises, rely on the faith and hope God has given you. Exercise your faith in God: remember He is in control. Place your hope in God: know His peace.
