FIRM ON THE JOURNEY
JESUS set us free from the kingdom of darkness and gave us freedom. With this freedom, we live abundantly. We are called not only to experience and see how good is the LORD, to touch and be transformed, but also to stand firm on the journey, preserving in CHRIST. The author of Hebrews in chapter 12 encourages that everyone who is in CHRIST has earned a new life. Let us also lay aside every weight and sin that clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the author and consumer of our faith.
Today, on this last day, I want to talk to you about this race that is set before us.
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
But the love of the FATHER does not end there.
HE sent JESUS who died for our sins, to restore what was lost, making a new heart in us. When JESUS departed, God sent the Holy Spirit to live in us, and through Him, we must be sanctified day by day to the image of CHRIST, to be able to accomplish our race here on earth and never lose hope.
Therefore this is the race, your sanctification. We were found in sin and accepted as sinners but called and challenged to be holy as our FATHER is Holy.
Yet in Hebrews 12: 14, the author warns us that without holiness no one will see the Lord, and in John wrote "that the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth", and this is the atmosphere of GOD exposition, worship is the way for the Holy Spirit to sanctify us.
One of my favorite Scriptures is Philippians 1:6, where Paul says: "I am confident that he who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus". He who began a good work in us will continue to perform, we are not purified by our own strength, neither by our skills because no matter how hard we try, we will fail.
However, it is our duty to persistently expose in the Holy atmosphere so that through it, the Holy Spirit can sanctify us and GOD may work on us.
It is our task to read the Bible daily. The Bible is GOD’S Word and the more we meditate on it, the more full of GOD we will be.
It is our task to pray consistently. Prayer is communion with GOD. Scientist quotes say that we become more alike with the people we walk with; therefore, there is power in communion. Have communion with GOD and you will be more like HIM.
It is our responsibility to be part of the local church; the church is the body of CHRIST. You alone are not the church, however, you can be part of the body of CHRIST. Make a decision to be part of a congregation and participate as a member of the body of CHRIST. Because when we are a part of the body that HE guides, shapes, and directs, we will also have the ability to control our own bodies.
GOD chose you, called and separated you for a purpose. What HE wants to do in you is much more than just your life. HE starts with you but does not end in you. There is a lot more. Stand still, persevere in every step, and the LORD will be with you and will sustain you. HE will never forsake you.
Relish on this abundant life that CHRIST bestowed upon you by grace.
Challenge:
– Have a daily target to take time to be with GOD and ponder in His Word.
– If you are not part of the local church, awake the desire in your heart to be part of one. Do not wait any longer. The moment is now.
"Thank you for taking this journey with me so far. My prayer is that you continue growing in faith, in love, and in hope, because these are the pillars of life, and that every day you live abundantly."
