eKidz Devotional: All About Respect

DAY 3 OF 4

Worship

Think about the last time you went to a football game, award ceremony, or a performance of some kind — did you clap, cheer, or shout? Did you dress your best, give your full attention, and sit on the edge of your seat in excitement?

When we hear the word “worship” we usually think of music, but worship is so much more than music — it’s honor, love, and devotion. It’s using our gifts and talents to help others. It’s reading our Bibles, praying, and serving those in need.

We worship God by showing Him respect through our words, actions, and deeds. When we do this, those around us can see the joy, love, and kindness of God without us saying anything.

Worship is how we show God respect, love, and how grateful we are for Him. It’s giving God our very best in everything we say and do because of everything He’s done. It’s worshiping Him with all our heart, soul, and mind.

Ask yourself: How can you show respect to God through worshiping Him with all your heart, mind, and soul? How can we do normal everyday things with passion?

Challenge yourself: Learn Matthew 22:37-38 and worship God with your heart, soul, and mind. Tell others about the joy you have in Jesus.

Pray: God, thank You for all you’ve done for me. Help me to worship You with my words and deeds. In Jesus’ name, amen.

During the third episode of “The Lost Tales: Volume 1,” the StarKeepers can help us understand how worship is more than music — check out this audio clip.

Day 2Day 4

About this Plan

eKidz Devotional: All About Respect

Respect is caring enough to consider how our words and actions impact others. In this four-day devotional, we’ll learn how we can respect God and those around us when we submit to authority, give generously, worship wholeheartedly, and tell others about Jesus. We will explore Bible stories and listen to clips from the eKidz family podcast, “Adventures Of The StarKeepers,” to help us apply these lessons to our lives.
