Crisis ConvertedSample
Theme: God's Blessing
Crisis Converted Then:
In the Genesis narrative, God called a single, idol-worshiping man from the Middle East and crafted him into the father of faith. From Abraham and his wife Sarah, God fashioned a whole nation which impacted the globe. Even in exile, God promises that his faithful seekers will experience joy and abundant blessings.
Crisis Converted Now:
Those who seek God with all their hearts will find a comforter. God blesses his people by offering refreshment in arid places. He offers living water to the thirsty and songs of joy to the downtrodden. God offers to restore us, removing our sin and shame, like new members of Abraham’s family or even new occupants of Eden’s lushness. What thanksgiving fills us when we consider such blessing! Take some time for thanksgiving today. What do you have to be thankful for?

About this Plan
This study from Isaiah 40-55 explores our identity as people affected by trauma but living in hope. In the exile, God’s nation had to find new life when their old life had been completely overturned and destroyed. Similarly, we now find ourselves trying to “return to normal” in the aftermath of a global pandemic. Yet, God can take any crisis and convert it for his glory and our growth.
