Learning to Pray the Jesus WaySample

Learning to Pray the Jesus Way

DAY 5 OF 5

Are You Ready To Pray?

The best way to see these three kinds of prayers being made practically is to see a few of the prayers that Jesus Himself prayed. He prayed when He was on the way to the cross at the Garden of Gethsemane and while hanging on the cross. At the Garden of Gethsemane, He prays a pivotal prayer where He expresses His grief but still asks for God’s will to be done.  This same prayer was a persistent prayer since He repeated it verbatim three times over. While Jesus hung on the cross dying, He prays a prophetic prayer where He declares aloud, for the benefit of all listening around Him, that in His bearing the sin of the whole world and identifying with sinners, He has lost connection with the Father. It wasn’t petulant, self-pitying, or groaning but a powerful declaration of purpose.

How ready are you to pray?

How ready are you to keep company with God just to know Him more?

Will you pray everything and everything according to His will?

Will you be Persistent, Pivotal, and Prophetic in your prayer?

As you read this Bible plan, one of the easiest ways to pray persistently, pivotally, and prophetically is to use the PRAYER feature on this Bible App.

1. Set reminders to pray persistently till you see that breakthrough. This cultivates a habit to pray at all times and in all seasons. ⏰

2. If you struggle to pray alone to see a breakthrough, add a trusted friend or family member and pray pivotally. Remember when you pray along with others you strengthen each other and claim more ground. 👥

3. Copy verses that minister to you daily, and add it as a prayer. The best way to pray is to claim scripture and to declare it over your situation.  📝

Day 4

About this Plan

Learning to Pray the Jesus Way

Prayer is often overlooked in our Christian lives because we assume that because God already knows everything, we don’t need to speak to Him. This plan will help you reorder your life so that you intentionally make time to seek God’s will for your life and pray until you see things happen. Prayer cannot be our backup option anymore but our first response to everything.
