Free Indeed

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John‬ ‭8:36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When you are in Christ, He has set you free. You are free from the struggles and cycles of the past. When you submit to Christ, the weight, guilt, shame, and defeat of the past are broken. Let Christ set you free.

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” Cast the past to Christ. Cast every care, worry, and concern over to Christ.

The Amplified Version expounds upon ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ in the following manner, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

Let every worry go. Let every care go. Let the past go. Cast every weight. When Christ sets you free, the entanglement of the past is broken. Let the sin of the past go and choose not to return to the habits of yesterday.

Proverbs‬ ‭26:11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.” Only fools return to the sin of yesterday. Don’t return to the vomit of the past. Choose to be set free.
