Jesus’ Kingship Is Expressed Through Forgiveness And Love

Jesus was scourged, crowned with thorns, clothed with a purple robe, mocked and spat on by soldiers, and was crucified to death. When Jesus was on the Cross before he died, he could have shown his power and sent his warriors from heaven. He could have come down from the cross and killed those who mocked him, but he suffered through it all because Jesus forgave and loved them because they did not know what they did.



Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus, you are a king of kings and lord of lords, to humble yourself and take all suffering for our sins and be an example of how to forgive and love others. Pray the Holy Spirit help us to forgive those who hurt us, help us to forgive them. Amen.
