I Live 4 U: Experiencing Unbroken Connection with God

DAY 2 OF 5

Begin each day by speaking these three power elements of prayer. This starts your day of unbroken connection to God!

1. I bless you, God, with all of my heart. May everything I do today bring honor to You.

2. I thank You for Your help today. Be involved in every decision that I make.

3. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, surprise me. Do things today in my life that I know are from You.

Intimacy with God satisfies the longing within every human being for deep, unbroken connection. We can understand intimacy with God from a perspective of "into-me-see."

Through intimacy, we look into the very heart of God, and we invite Him to look into us. When we engage intimately with the Lord, He transforms us from the inside out. We grow to understand God's heart for connection, and it inspires us to embrace the process of transformation through His Word and Spirit.

God is calling every believer to a life of uncontaminated wonder. This place of wonder is a place of gazing upon the Lord and His majesty, captivated by all He is. Here we understand that the power of sin is broken.

Jesus said that the pure in heart are the ones who will see God (Matt. 5:8). Living in intimacy and wonder opens our spiritual eyes so we understand who God is and who we are. The beauty of Christ captivates our spiritual eyes.

Another way of saying this is that intimacy leads to purity. Many people think that their impurity disqualifies them from intimacy. This is a lie from the enemy. The unconditional love and grace we experience through intimacy inspire us to become holy. We desire to be like Christ as our lives are filled with His presence. Without even trying, we are inspired to conform to Christ's likeness (Rom. 8:29).

Purity is essential for spiritual revelation. Hebrews 12:14 says that “without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Yet, this isn't holiness based on our own merit; this is holiness based on the person of Christ abiding inside of us as we hunger and thirst for intimacy with Him. The more we see Him, the more we are inspired to see Him. The more we experience His love, the more we yearn to experience His love.

Our role is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. Every morning when we awaken, we should cultivate a desire to know, grow, and learn, allowing eagerness, fearlessness, and intensity for Christ's presence and Word to consume our heart and mind. Intimacy produces expectations in our life.

Expect to experience God's extraordinary mercies and abundant love every morning, afternoon, and night. Expect to be encouraged and energized to see what each new day brings. There is nothing so beautiful as a life inspired by faith. I believe we are to live expectant lives!

Inspire in its root meaning is "to breathe, to blow in."[1] Perhaps its most straightforward definition is "to impart a truth or an idea to someone."[2] Intimacy positions us close to His heart so He can breathe these truths into our soul.

His Word is the fuel for divine inspiration. This scripture is one of my favorite promises:

“For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation’” (2 Cor. 6:2).

This verse tells me that a life of faith and favor is God's idea. We experience it as we connect with Jesus in intimacy. The privilege of being called by the Holy Spirit to inspire and invite others into a life of faith and favor through Jesus Christ is extraordinary. The Word of God comes alive in our life.

As believers, when we trust and obey what His Word imparts to us, we activate our purpose and function with energy and vitality. When His Word is our foundation, it inspires us!

Today, experience His Word, His life, and His breath as your heart is inspired
