DAY 8 OF 8

COMPLETING THE CALLS

And when he came to that place he said to them, "Pray that ye may not fall into temptation." (Luke 22:40)

There are two important things that believers need to have in completing their calling this world: determination and the strength of God. In following Jesus' example, we can capture those two things.

First, He is firm to finish to the end, even though He has knows the horrors that He will go through. It would be difficult for a person to complete his vocation if he did not have the courage, and this can only be done by those with great determination and vision. Jesus' great love makes him dare to sacrifice, no matter the price.

Next is the power of God. This element is supernatural. It is ours if we maintain a close relationship with God. Jesus Christ continues to nurture His relationship with the Father to gain new strength. He built it through hours of prayer. In these times of prayer, the Lord Jesus gained strength.

For us today, there will be many events that will cause fear that will collapse our faith. For that, the Lord Jesus warned His disciples that by prayer we will remain strong and won't fall into temptation.

Increase the hours of your prayers when your heart begins to be dismayed and feels unable to finish God's calling. Prayer is the source of God's power that revives the passion to accomplish all the work that God has entrusted us.

Prayer will be like a spring that gives freshness when we start to give up.
