Have you ever felt like you were late to the newest trend Maybe it’s all about that burger, the new coffee spot, the latest tv show, or that social media app. Your friends may DM you about how amazing it is, then you have to go check it out for yourself—who wants to take someone else’s own word for it? Our faith can be like that too. We have family, friends, and Small Group Leaders all telling us how amazing Jesus is, but we may not have experienced it yet —even if we may want to. We can’t just take someone else’s faith and pretend that it is our own. We must experience our faith and encounter Jesus for ourselves. 

Today, take 5 minutes to read the Christmas story (Luke 2:1-20 NLT). Take time to think about two things that stood out to you as you read, and one thing that you have a question about. Bonus: Try to think of someone to ask that question too.
