Fight for the Faith: A Prayer Journey Thru JudeNäide

Day 20
Jude warns us to watch for “scoffers” among us in our churches. As we pray in light of his words, we come to verse 20, a reminder to us that we must take great pains to put ourselves in the very best position to grow as Christians.
Jude says, “But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit.”
Paul likened this to preparing for an athletic competition—being diligent to remain in top "spiritual health and fitness" so as never to be tripped up and ultimately deemed "disqualified" (1 Corinthians 9:24-27).
Father God, first, I need to remember that I am Your “beloved.” Thank You! Second, I am desperate for Your assistance in “getting into God’s Word and getting God’s Word into me!” Finally, in partnership with the indwelling Holy Spirit, help me to know how to pray—about my own spiritual journey, my personal ministry, and the advance of the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom in and through my local church! Amid it all, heavenly Father, be glorified!
About this Plan

Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth. Let’s pray through Jude, and be emboldened today to fight for the faith!
