Work As Worship: Created to FlourishSample
Do you learn best by following directions or by watching someone do something before you feel comfortable doing it yourself?
There's an element of faith in every learning process as you trust that the coach, trainer, or teacher is providing you with the right example.
Have you ever carefully followed a set of instructions or watched someone complete a task only to discover later that what you learned was wrong?
It can be so frustrating to have to go back and "unlearn" what has become so natural. Sometimes we discover that we've been doing something incorrectly for our entire lives, so finally doing it right feels awkward and uncomfortable.
No matter our learning style, God provides us with the best role model possible in Jesus. In his words, we hear the father's voice. In Jesus' actions, we glimpse how to live out God's truths in our everyday decisions and relationships.
You can have faith that what Jesus says about God is accurate and that his actions are entirely consistent with God's nature.
For centuries, the nation of Israel knew God through his laws and his interaction with the prophets. Woven into every book of the Bible is God's wisdom, mercy, and love.
You were created in God's image, so in everything you do, what the Bible calls "every work of your hand," you have the chance to bring God glory.
If you have a question about a machine, the inventor would have the right answer.
If you need more explanation about the meaning of your favorite song lyrics, you'd want to ask the songwriter.
If you wanted to fulfill all the potential and promise of your life, doesn't it make sense to connect with the one who created you?
Just as following the right instructions allows you to accomplish a task quickly, easily, and successfully, using Jesus as your role model is the only way to guarantee you are fulfilling your potential.
