Building Trust | Serve
The S in the TRUST acronym we’ve been exploring is for Serve. Serving others at their points of need requires that we be observant, then look for creative ways to serve.
Peter and Andrew were professional fishermen who had fished all night without catching anything. Jesus realized they probably felt like they failed and were frustrated. Jesus served Peter in the way that was most meaningful to Peter––providing a successful fishing experience. He told Peter to try again.
In Luke 5:6 we learn, "When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break."
This resulted in Peter repenting and following Jesus the rest of his life. If you desire loyalty in your staff and customer base, look for ways to creatively serve them.
