Pray:  I find it important to have a clear mind before I go to God, so I like to take a few deep breaths as I invite Him.         

Journal:  Along with any thoughts and questions from this week's verse and prayers,  write down a request for God. Something you might be scared to ask for. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get it, because God isn’t a magic genie, but you might look back one day and find that either you know the reason why God didn’t answer your prayer or that He did in an unexpected way or time.
