R.O.B. FearSample
I R.O.B. fear of its power when I live only for God.
When fear makes you think too much about what other people might do or say, Daniel can be your role model!
God blessed Daniel for living only for Him. But that made some people jealous and angry. So angry, they got the king to make a law with a terrifying punishment for praying to God: being thrown into the lions’ den!
But Daniel lived for God, not for people. He prayed anyway.
If you were Daniel, would you let fear of being thrown into the lions’ den stop you? Or, would you have done what you knew God wanted you to do?
Talk it over: When do you fear obeying God because you think people won’t like it? Which verse from Daniel 6:1-23 will help you R.O.B. that fear of its power? Use the verse you choose to R—remember God’s truth, O—open your mouth and say it out loud, and B—battle it out by choosing to live for God, and not for people.
