God is Everywhere

Today we are diving into a truth that is found in Psalm 139: that is, God is OMNIPRESENT. This means God is everywhere. It’s simple and profound. You cannot hide from God and God will never lose you! He always knows where you are and He is always near you.

David, the writer of Psalm 139, often dealt with trouble in his life. At one time, King Saul chased David, trying to kill him. David ran from Saul and even had to hide out in a dark cave to escape. But, even in the cave, God was with him. 

For those of us who are followers of Jesus, this is really good news! Just like David, we will face trouble in our life, but we can find comfort in knowing that God’s presence is always with us. Nothing can separate us from God’s presence and His love!

Do you ever feel like you are alone? Do you ever wonder where God is? During those times, it is important to trust what the Bible says over your feelings. Trust that God is always with you. (Side note: One of the names of Jesus in the Bible is Emmanuel, which means “God with us”. See Matthew 1:23). As a child of God and a follower of Jesus, you will never be separated from Him and His love!

Prayer:
Father, I thank You for always being with me. It is hard for me to understand that You are everywhere at the same time, but I choose to believe this today. Help me to trust You more. Teach me how to live for You and how to love You. I am grateful that nothing can separate me from You and Your strong love. Help me to live for You every day. I love You. Amen.
