The resurrection of Christ changed everything, including what happens to us after we die. As Paul adamantly explained in 1 Corinthians 15:12-19, we will experience a physical resurrection of our bodies at Christ’s return. This physical resurrection of our bodies is central to our faith, as it is closely tied to the resurrection of Christ. 

Because Christ raised from the dead, we too will experience physical resurrection. Christ was not only spiritually resurrected, but physically resurrected as well. The same is true for us! Our bodies will be renewed and restored, but they will still be our bodies. The resurrection of Christ goes before us, preparing the way for our physical resurrection in eternity.

God, thank You that the resurrection has changed everything, including what happens to me when I die. I praise You for Your sovereignty and power that not only raised Christ from the dead but will raise all Your people when Christ returns. Amen.
