Enter In - To The Life God Promised YouSample
YOUR TERRITORY WILL EXTEND
What would you claim as 'your territory'?
Where do you feel confident, comfortable and in control? Where are the places that you feel like you have influence?
God had promised Joshua and the Israelites some significant and impressive geographical territory. Then He went on to promise Joshua that this territory will extend!
While this passage describes geographical territory, we can also acknowledge that God has territory for every person, in the form of influence.
God has placed you in specific environments for you to have influence there. As it says in Esther, you are here “for such a time as this”. What’s more, God is promising greater influence - that your territory will extend. If we don’t desire to extend our territory, that is our sphere of influence and impact, we are living solely for ourselves. And that is not how God wants His children to live, it is far less fulfilling than the life God promises us.
So while the world is focused on fame and grandeur, we must remain focused on influence for the kingdom of God – that is the pursuit of true greatness.
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:
What is your current influence?
How can you extend that today?
Where do you believe God has called you to have influence?
PRAY:
God I want to see my influence for Your Kingdom be extended. Help me to grow and develop my influence today.
