CHRIST DISCIPLE

In Matthew 28:19 Jesus told us to "Make disciples of all nations."  This message conveys to us that God wants each of us not only to be a fan of Christ, but God’s desire is for us to follow Him as His disciple, to imitate Him and follow His ways.

Today's reflection verse in 1 John 2:6 says that when we are in Christ, when we are saved and born again, we are obliged to live like Christ. In other words, to follow Him (become His disciple).

Being a disciple speaks of imitating every example given by the teacher. A disciple must emulate his teacher. A successful student is measured by the success of him living from every good and true example his teacher gives.

Is not Jesus the Lord our perfect teacher today? Are we not His disciples? Again, we are reminded to live as Christ has lived, becoming His disciples; to be His ambassadors in every aspect of our lives.

As it is said in John 8:31, we can be His disciple as we learn to abide in His word. As we abide in His Word, we will be shaped and changed daily, so that we can become God’s ambassadors in every aspect of our life.

The living Jesus will be seen through our deeds, our daily lifestyles.
