Roaring Twenties FastNäide

Tomorrow
"Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." (James 4:13-14)
I will get serious for God tomorrow. I will start reading my Bible tomorrow. I will share my faith with my friends tomorrow. I will stop that secret sin tomorrow. I will pray tomorrow. I will forgive that person who hurt me tomorrow. I will do something great for God tomorrow.
As long as we have great intentions about tomorrow we can ignore the plight we are in today. Todays excuses are ok because tomorrow intentions will make up for today. However what happens tomorrow is a result of what we do in faith and obedience today. To make plans for tomorrow without seeking God today is deadly sin.
So today I will be serious for God. Today I dive into God’s. Today I share my faith. Today is a gift. A gift I can’t spend tomorrow.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to make the most of today.
