We've already looked once at the story of the Samaritan woman at the well and Jesus' conversation with her, but let's focus on this specific verse for a moment.

John 4:35 - "Don't you have a saying, 'It's still four months until harvest?' I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields. They are ripe for harvest. Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together."

This is powerful - Jesus is showing us a way to change our perspective. If our thought process is that generally most people don't want to hear about Jesus, then that will affect the way we talk with them. If instead, we see it the way Jesus sees it (that the harvest is RIPE - there are still people who want to know about Christ), we'll approach the topic very differently. It's important to remember that we were all at the same place before Christ: lost & wanting more. Just like you and I felt that way, everyone we know that's far from Christ feels that way.

Practical Steps // Ask God to change your perspective about those who don't have a relationship with Him: ask Him to open your eyes to the reality that their soul CRAVES Him.
