Love God Greatly - GalatiansNäide

Paul encourages the Galatians to remain steadfast in committing themselves to God. He encourages them to continue to do good towards all, despite the circumstances. God’s promise to believers is that we are not alone. He is always with us and will bring us His strength to endure and to do what’s right and good.
In what trying or frustrating circumstances do you need encouragement to remain steadfast in doing good because no immediate rewards are seen?
Father God, You are the God who gives so freely of Yourself, never expecting anything in return. Lord, create in me a heart that gives like You do. Destroy my bad habits and patterns of rationing out my goodness… choosing only to serve those I deem worthy while retaliating towards others with evil deeds. Lord, place in my path more opportunities to give and serve in order to free me from developing a selfish nature. Lord, help me to place Your desire to be magnified in this world high above my own selfish desire to be comfortable. In Jesus’ name. Amen

About this Plan

We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope – creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.” And that makes our hearts sing! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
