Love God Greatly - Galatians

DAY 17 OF 40

Paul describes how Jesus Christ took upon Himself the curse which was pronounced on those who violated the law. Jesus did this by bearing God’s wrath for believers’ sins on the Cross so that believers would be free from the law and receive God’s promise of salvation through faith. Jesus Christ has redeemed believers from the curse of God’s wrath. We no longer have to bear our sin, our shame, or our guilt. God’s promise and blessing given to Abraham was fulfilled through salvation and freedom from sin found through Jesus Christ. Believers are redeemed! In what circumstance are you feeling overwhelmed or discouraged that you aren’t able to perfectly live up to God’s standard? What circumstances are you facing right now that are causing you to doubt your redemption? What are you forgetting about God’s promise of salvation and redemption? Who in your life desperately needs you to share of God’s promises of redemption and salvation? Father God, I thank You that salvation is from You and You alone. Keep me from complicating matters by doubting You. Remind me that regardless of how I feel, my redemption is sure. Lord, although I feel broken, remind me daily that I am whole and complete in Christ. Although I feel messy, remind me daily that I am brand new in Christ, holy and blameless in God’s sight. Although I believe myself to be insignificant, remind me that You chased me, wooed me, and pursued me until I was Yours. May all my confidence rest in Who You are and not at all in who I am. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly - Galatians

We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope – creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.” And that makes our hearts sing! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
