Like A Flower In The Field By Struik Christian MediaSample
Precious in God’s sight
We live in a world where no one repairs anything anymore. It is often more expensive to repair an item than to replace it. Therefore, we simply throw the item away. It doesn’t even have to be broken, but perhaps it is old or no longer appeals to us, and it gets replaced. Things have simply lost their value.
The Lord, however, is the same yesterday, today and forever (see Hebrews 13:8), and if He connects with you, it is forever. He also has the advantage of knowing His plan for you and does not expect immediate perfection. He enjoys your progress and each breakthrough, and is patient with each setback. He knows that the work that He began in you, He’ll see through to its conclusion.
Thus, if you have wondered if you are valuable, then the Lord’s connection to you through thick and thin is a clear indication of just how serious He is about you. For Him, the lifelong process is worth the effort. No hidden agenda will suppress His will for your life—not now, and not in the future.
The Lord makes the statement every child yearns to hear—that we are precious to Him. It may not make sense, but this is what He says to us and He does not lie. No Christian can complain that the Lord is one of those parents who doesn’t tell you and show you that they love you.
Prayer
Lord, thank You that You chose me, that You regard me as worthy and that You show me this so clearly. Amen.
The Lord will never let you go. You are together with Him forever.
