Hearing from God    

The Lord used two areas to teach me how to recognize His voice. The first was reading the Scriptures. The Bible is God’s Word. It is absolute in authority and carries the revelation we need for all of life. I tell our students, “The Bible is Jesus in print. Don’t tell me you love Jesus, but you don’t love His Word.” 

The second area that God used to teach me how to recognize His voice was in giving. This was so fascinating to me, as He always seemed to make it clear what I was to give for a specific cause or situation. With His voice comes the faith to obey. Learning to give according to His heart is always beyond what my mind would lead me to. So faith was essential. This is where I learned that “faith comes by hearing” (Rom. 10:17 NKJV).
