What Are You Thankful For?

As you think back on the past day, what are you thankful for? We have so much to be thankful for, but we often don’t realize those things in the moment.  

Nothing is too small or too mundane to thank God for.  

Thank God for your morning coffee, that conversation with a friend, awesome weather, people who care for you, the fact that you can go to school, or for air to breath.  

As you regularly think back through your day, intentionally looking for things to thank God for, you’ll start to be more aware of His goodness and presence throughout the day. 

Pray, “God, thank you.”

Our lives are busy. Many of us rush through the day and miss seeing God at work because our pace of life drowns Him out. There’s a practice that dates back to the 16th Century called the Prayer of Examen. The Prayer of Examen is a daily practice that helps us look back and reflect on our day, making us more aware of God’s presence in our everyday lives.
