Read To Me Daily Semester 4Sample
EZEKIEL 12-13:
In yesterday’s reading in Ezekiel, the vision of the glory of the Lord left the temple. Then God disagreed with what the leaders of Israel were saying, that they were safe in the ‘pot’ of Jerusalem.
SONG OF SOLOMON 7:
As we heard yesterday in the Song of Solomon, the bride is captivating in beauty, and so radiant that she is compared to the sun and moon.
MATTHEW 26b:
In the first half of Matthew 26, we heard about these four events: the plot to kill Jesus, Jesus being anointed at Bethany, the Last Supper, and Peter vowing that he would never deny Jesus.
Let’s pray.
Lord Jesus, we (my listener and I) pray today for all of the people following the Read To Me Daily reading plan. We pray that any following this reading plan who are prevented or forbidden to go to a fellowship of your believers. Lord we pray that You would lead such believers, so that they will find at least two or three other believers and regularly have the opportunity to partake of the Lord’s Supper. We pray that You would help our fellow believers who are prevented from attending church by an unbelieving spouse. We also pray that you would be with isolated believers who live in countries where Christians are actively persecuted. Also, Lord, we include any who are disabled or in other ways excluded from normal fellowship opportunities. May each one have the joy of being included in a group what solemnly eats bread— remembering your body broken for us— and drinks wine that portrays your blood poured out for us— the blood that seals God’s new covenant with us. May we each realize that now, our bodies— our very flesh and blood— have been made one with your flesh and blood. Teach us all that this means.
About this Plan
This plan covers the fourth and final semester (116 days) in the Digging Deeper Daily reading plan. The DDD plan delivers the chronological content of the Bible in two Old Testament portions per day plus one New Testament portion. The audio devotional introduction to each day's readings will help you to remember what you read before, and will encourage you to dig deeper to find the treasures in God’s Word.
