Held by Love

It wasn’t the power of the enemy that held your Lord to the cross. It would have been easy for Jesus to come down and walk away from such horrible torture. It was his love for you that left him no other choice.

Even before you were born, he knew you. He already saw your eyes of passion that would one day become his inheritance. He longed to be your Bridegroom even before the earth was established. Now, your passionate, love-filled worship has become the fulfillment of his desire. Never doubt how much power your worshiping words hold. He is eternally held captive by your love! This same passion has the power to silence the enemy and bring God rushing to your aid. What strength you have! You truly are more than a conqueror.

Lord, you have covered me with your glory, yet honor me as if this beauty were my own. Your ways are higher than I can grasp, yet I reach to hold your truth within me forever. Keep my heart before you always. Never let me stray. Your love for me has left me with no rebuttal. I want to love you and please you forever.
