Grace Anna Presents "Courage For Kids"Sample
Sometimes, I have felt deeply scared to go into a new place and meet new people. I worried they might think I looked different or funny, and I would get so upset that people might not like me that I couldn’t even enjoy what God had planned.
One time, I was in a commercial for a hospital. I was so afraid to go into the room because I didn’t know anyone. “I can’t do this,” I told Momma. “They are going to hate me. I’m different than them. I’m in a wheelchair.”
Momma pulled me to the side and whispered, “They will love you. God made you perfectly the way you are for a reason. Smile, introduce yourself, and relax. They will love you.”
I took a deep breath, rolled inside, and did exactly what she said. They were so nice and friendly. All that rejection I had imagined and worried about didn’t even happen. Everyone in the room had something unique about them too. The day went wonderfully, and I got to be in my very first commercial!
I had let my mind race with fear instead of remembering that God is always with me. His love and power can overcome anything if we let it. He will fill us with his peace if we relax and let him in. I’m so glad I trusted God and made new friends. We have all the power, love, and reasoning within us if we just trust God.
