Beauty On PurposeNäide

Fantasy has its place. We all love Disney World, knowing full well that 5-foot talking mice (Mickey), ducks (Donald) and dogs (Goofy) do not exist (I’m trying to explain that to my 3-year old). What we’re not gonna do is bring two mice home and call them Mickey and Minnie!
Same goes with our expectations of beauty. Magazines, TV, social media…they all have their place. They inspire us and give us ideas on how to do our makeup and what colors are in season. However, we’re not gonna use an airbrushed and face-tuned picture as an ideal for what our face should look like. Wrinkles are a birthright and you know what? A darn good one! It means you’re still here! You’re in the land of the living! So celebrate! Moisturize, contour, and exfoliate all you want, but don’t you dare compare yourself to an ideal that isn’t real. You’re worth more than that. God says so!
About this Plan

What does it mean to be beautiful? What does it mean to have beauty? Inward or outward, we’ll take a look at what the Bible considers to be beautiful: a woman whose heart is focused on pleasing God and whose mission it is to see the promises of God fulfilled in the lives of all whom she encounters.
