Love God Greatly: To Do Justice, To Love Kindness, To Walk HumblySample
I think Micah 6:8 sums up the entire book of Micah. We've read over and over again all the things Israel was doing wrong. Now we read what they had to do: They had to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. Three small, simple things that God asked His people to do and still asks us to do today.
God was tired of religious ceremonies, sacrifices, and shallow spiritual lives. The Israelites were not aware of how profoundly they had sinned against the Lord and they thought they could get rid of the guilt by performing religious acts.
To be able to do these three things, we need to be saved by Jesus Christ. If we try to live justly, love kindness, and walk humbly without presenting ourselves to God as sinners in need of a Savior, we´ll just be “religious” people.
Don’t try to please God by being religious. He wants your heart. He wants a surrendered life. He wants us to behave as His children, as daughters of the King who live by His Word.
Dear Lord, I want to know You intimately. I don't want to live a lie. I don't want to wear a religious mask and have an empty heart. Oh Father, help me live a real faith that can transform me from the inside out and reach others for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan
We are surrounded by injustice and pain. We see it not only in our world but also in our own lives and it can be disheartening and overwhelming. But we are not without hope. This is what Micah is all about. He is not afraid to get in our face about some hard topics like sin and judgement.
