ENOUGH: PURPOSE
“He has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.” (2 Timothy 1:9)
It is incredible to think that we were made in the image of God, each of us born with a purpose and calling that we can either discover or miss completely. The influence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers gives us insight into his purposes for us. We find peace and courage when we sense the Spirit confirming that we are in the right place at the right time.
In the slums of Pakistan, a man named Mumtaz, who is now in his 60s, loves his community and wants to serve it in any way he can. He works as a waste collector and has such a passion for improving the slums and sings psalms and worship songs as he goes about his work. It is truly humbling to see how this gentle man is living out God’s purpose for him right where he is.
Father God, thank You for giving our lives purpose and meaning. Thank You also for what You are doing in the lives of Mumtaz and others in the slums of Pakistan. We pray that we and others around the world will be able to hear Your voice more and more as you say: “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21). In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

About this Plan
In God’s eyes, we are more than enough. It’s why He sent His son to reconcile us to Him. Though we may never grasp just how much He loves us, at Lent we can take time to reflect on all He did for us. It's time to reject the message that we aren’t enough, and instead remember Christ died for us, just as we are.
