DAY 2 OF 5

Legacy is eternal. Your legacy will ripple through eternity. You can stumble on success (at least the world’s definition of success), but significance and the right kind of legacy are intentional. Do you want to be happy? Do you want a life filled with joy? Do you want your life to have meaning and purpose? Then make legacy your goal!

Whenever I speak, I always ask the audience: “Please raise your hand if you would like to leave a legacy.” It doesn’t matter if I am in Poland, Singapore, Holland, or Papua New Guinea, 100 percent of the hands go up! How about you? Do you want to leave a legacy? I have news for you. You are going to leave a legacy. The only question is, will it be by design or by chance?

What if your legacy became your why? Only you can leave your legacy. You are unique, created by God with gifts and talents only you have. Only you have lived your life and been through your furnaces. No one else has your experiences. No one else can leave your legacy. Only you can leave your legacy.

The legacy you leave will ripple through eternity. Will the ripples you create propel those you love to their own lives of success, significance, and legacy? Are you willing to leave something this big to chance? Make legacy your why and take daily steps toward it, and you will experience greater success and significance as part of the journey.

What do you want to be known for? What reputation do you want your family to have? When people talk about you and your family when you’re not around, what do you want them to say? Answering these questions is the first step you need to take as you start creating your intentional legacy.
