DAY 3 OF 5

Even though we know the differences between doors and walls, it can be hard to know who is there to help and who is there to harm. Sometimes the line gets blurred, and often we are surrounding ourselves with people who don’t necessarily have our best interests at heart. People who were placed into your life by the enemy become your peers, and you don’t even know it.

The friend who tells you to ignore your responsibilities and obligations to go out.

The gossiper who spreads lies and plagues your mind with negativity.

The person who only views you for what you can do for them, and has no real interest in helping you to achieve your goals.

These types of people can be doors to negativity and walls to positivity. They can infect your mind, and often don’t even realize that they are doing it themselves. You cannot allow this type of behavior to go on around you, and you certainly cannot take part in it yourself.

There have been many times in my life in which I had to learn to let old friends go. To let people who were not interested in growing and improving drift away.

It isn’t easy.

It isn’t fun.

But it is necessary.

These people were opening doors to things that I wanted no part of, and putting up walls to hide me from reaching my potential. The enemy put them there, and God told me to move away from them!

Life is made up of doors and walls. I see doors and walls in both my personal life as well as my professional life. They protect me as well as allow me to reach things that would otherwise be inaccessible.

About this Plan

Access

God puts people in your life for a reason. It is by purpose, not chance. While God places individuals in your life, so does the enemy. Therefore, it’s important to be wary of who you allow access to your life. People matter and people need other people. In his latest plan, David Villa discusses how to distinguish between the two, and provide access to only those who want us to succeed.
