Becoming In Faith

DAY 4 OF 4

The final stage—you have BECOME. You know who you are.

You have been listening to the Lord intimately. You know His voice and His gentle promptings. You love His voice. You effortlessly tune out all other sounds. You sneak away to a quiet place to listen in to hear Him speak.

You have full assurance that: "I am His. Nothing can steal me from His hands! I am not cocky or overly confident in myself. I am humbly known by my Father who gave His all so that I could be His child! I am overflowing so much so that I desire to give away what I have received. I am a masterpiece. I am chosen, holy, loved, and blameless. In the sight of God, I am clean. My shame from my youth has been erased, and now I am unashamed. That is who I am."

"Anyone can say anything bad about me, but I won’t believe it. You can speak the stranger’s voice, but I won’t recognize it. You can agree with what I once believed about myself in my past, but I refuse to look back. You can say anything you want, but you can’t hurt me because I know who I am and I am a daughter of the King. He loves me and lives in me, and therefore, I cannot be hurt by you. I am filled and overflowing. I don’t have to say, ‘fill up my cup. Rather, I can say to others, ‘Hey would you like to have a drink? I have all of this to give, and I want to share it with you."

It’s easy to make confessions about who you are in Christ, but apart from an intimate relationship with the Father, you will not live in the abundance of knowing your true identity. It would be awful if we only had a good confession, but no intimacy.

Don’t coast here. Continue to press into more intimacy with your Father God. We all need to be on our knees saying, “God, I desperately need to know your love. Increase my capacity to receive your love. I want to know the depth and the height. I have to know it more.”

A loving relationship with Him, listening to Him and saying yes every day makes us BECOME who He already knitted us to be in our mother’s wombs.

Day 3

About this Plan

Becoming In Faith

In this reading plan, we are going to talk about the three stages to becoming like Christ. First, Unbecoming - which we are all unbecoming before Christ; The Becoming Stage - as we are learning to take our thoughts captive; and finally, the I Have Become who God says I am. Do you want to love others well? Then let’s become who God already says we are!
