Read To Me DAILYSample
DUE TO A TECHNICAL PROBLEM causing an extra day, THIS EPISODE should have been numbered Day 81.
NUMBERS 21:
Yesterday in Numbers, we heard about the water of purification, which involved the burnt offering of a red heifer and following very exacting requirements. Then we heard the story of Moses and Aaron's failure to display God's holiness in the issue of speaking to— rather than striking the rock. It is no wonder Moses was exasperated by the people! And following that incident, not being able to pass through the land of Edom, they turned back to Mount Hor, where Aaron died.
PSALM 38:
Today we will hear in Psalm 38 a beautiful song of repentance and a cry for deliverance from enemies.
LUKE 24b:
Yesterday in the first half of Luke 24, we heard the story of the women not finding Jesus in the tomb, and the story of the two men encountering the risen Jesus on the road to Emmaus.
Please allow me now to pray for you!
Lord, I pray that you would be with my brother or sister who will complete this reading plan in just a few moments. May You establish my brother or sister firmly on our Cornerstone, Christ Jesus. May you prove to my listener that your Word is powerful and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. Lord, I am sure this prayer is according to your will, so I am sure you will bless my listener. And so I thankfully say Amen!
I hope that you have enjoyed this first semester of four in this YouVersion reading plan named Read To Me Daily. If you follow through with all four semesters, you will have completed the whole Bible. So I hope that you will sign up for the second semester of this plan , which will take you from day 82 through day 167. In NT readings, next semester takes us through Acts, Galatians, and Romans. For further information and helps for Bible reading, please see http://dailybiblereading.info.
