30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

DAY 12 OF 30

By now, you’re probably noticing some positive changes from studying the Bible, things like an increased sense of peace, more wisdom in your decision making, greater intimacy with Christ. Whatever your experience may be, your life is changing as you choose to make your relationship with God through His Word your number one priority. Hopefully you’re encouraged to keep it up!

Psalm 119:11 explains how positive changes come to pass. It tells us that if we will put God’s Word in our hearts—study it—and live by it, then we won’t live in sin. In other words, we’ll do what’s right!

For example, if you’re struggling with unforgiveness, bitterness or resentment toward someone who has hurt you, study scriptures about forgiveness, like Mark 11:25 and Ephesians 4:32. If you need more of God’s wisdom so you can handle your finances correctly or establish healthy boundaries in relationships, Proverbs is a good book to study.

One of the best things we can do is study verses about God’s love, mercy and grace toward us. Because the more we understand what Christ has done for us, the more we will love and serve God, and we’ll do what’s right. If you need a place to start, Romans 8 is a great chapter. It reminds us of God’s amazing love for us and that through faith in Christ, we’re free of guilt and condemnation. You can overcome what’s wrong and do what’s right as you put more of God’s Word in your heart.

Walk It Out

What are you struggling with right now? We all have weaknesses and make mistakes at times. But through Christ, we can overcome them and become stronger in God’s love, mercy and grace. Whatever you need, look up scriptures that speak to the issue and meditate on them—read them slowly, thoughtfully and think of them as you go throughout your day. With the Word in your heart, you’ll gain the strength to do what’s right!

About this Plan

30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

Are you studying the Bible or just casually reading it? God doesn’t want us to just skim His Word—He wants us to meditate on it and to allow it to change us from the inside out. That’s why Joyce Meyer issued the challenge to study God’s Word for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. This 30-day reading plan consists of encouragement from Joyce that will help you develop the habit of daily scripture reading. We’re confident this study will help you engage with the Bible and discover the impact it can make on your life. Give God 30 days and see what happens!
