Whole industries are set up to help us plan for retirement. We are promised that old age will be easy and comfortable if we put away enough money today. If we're clever, it will be better than the life we live today, full of leisure and travel and fine living. All we must do is focus on the future and be prudent with our money today.
What does God say? Certainly, we should be prudent because it is His money in the first place. But, God's perspective on retirement is eternal — much longer than the retirement industry's. He confirms that our inheritance is assured and it can never perish, spoil or fade. Trusting Christ is a retirement planning decision for eternity. It makes you think of retirement investing in a whole new way!
