ALPHA AND OMEGA

Revelation 1:8

O God, You are the Alpha and Omega - the beginning and the end. You are the "bookends of life," and You have written every line of every page of every chapter in the story of the past, present and future! For wisdom and power belong to You; You change the times and the epochs; You remove kings and establish kings ... to Thee, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise! As Your story unfolds, my heart rejoices. I see You, Holy God, pursuing a sinful, stiff-necked people with Your love, which was ultimately demonstrated at the cross - Your plan, the climax of Your story! O God of time, You have captured me with this love of Yours. Hold me close to You. I want You to be the Alpha and Omega of my days on this earth. Strengthen my faith, I pray, when I do not understand your path for me; for Your ways are higher than my ways, and Your thoughts are not my thoughts. But, I trust You. Make my story match Yours, no matter the circumstances of the day. Live in me - from morning till night, so that I too may capture people with Your unending love.
