Restore: God is restoring my peace

There is so much in life that we worry about – our careers, our money, our relationships, our children, the list continues. Living in a social media age these worries are compounded as we are bombarded with daily tweets, statuses and other posts from those known and unknown.

But Jesus gives us an amazing directive: do not worry about your life. What an incredible privilege to know that the Creator of the universe commands us not to fret, or have resentment, jealousy or self-pity. Instead we can pray about everything, surrendering all our worries to our loving Father because he cares for us.

He knows our future and is working everything out for our good, in spite of our choices. Give glory to God and delight in him, both personally and as a citizen of the global community.

Dear Father,

I give you all of my cares, my worries, my hopes and my dreams. I make a radical decision to trust you unconditionally. Help me to find comfort in the fact that you know my end and are working all things out for my good even if I can’t see it right now. Restore my joy today. Amen.
