30 Little Things: The Book of GenesisMuestra

Running.
Humans are imperfect beings. Yes, no matter how hard we try to stay out from falling into sin, we will never completely fall out of sin as long as we live in our flesh and blood. It is only when we are finally clothed in God's glory and united with God that we become completely free from the chains of our sins. However, the issue that comes with falling into sin is this: what do we do when we actually fall into sin? The answer is simple, we run. But in running itself, there can be two outcomes. First, we run away from God as far as we could, hiding from our guilt and our shame. And second, we run to God to ask for His mercy and forgiveness so we can come back into His presence.
In Genesis 3:7, we can see that Adam and Eve ran away from God after they fall into sin. Is this the right thing to do? Absolutely not. God has given His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us on the cross so our sins can be forgiven. God sees us as righteous not because of our good deeds, but because of our faith in Jesus Christ, for His grace made this possible. So the next time we commit a sin, run towards God and know that nothing we confess can make Him love us less. Don't hide from God. It won't do us any good.
