30 Little Things: The Book of GenesisMuestra

Faith Like Potatoes.
It is so hard sometimes to believe in something we can't see, something we can't grasp or bring into logic. The way our minds work is just so limited, that a lot of times we don't leave room for God to do things beyond what we can think of. And this becomes a challenge for us in many situations to surrender and have faith in Him. In the story of how God told Abraham to sacrificed Isaac, did you ever noticed that Abraham continuously showed he had faith in Him? When Abraham was about to leave his servant and his donkey behind, he said to his servant. 'we will worship there and we will come right back'. Crazy, isn't it, that he said 'we'? Didn't God said Abraham was to sacrificed his son? And Abraham said it again when Isaac asked him about the burnt offering, he said 'God will provide a sheep'.
Talk about faith! Did Abraham see the sheep when he replied to Isaac? Nope. But yet, Abraham had faith in God's plan. One of the things we ought to remember that as children of God, we live by faith and not by sight.
