#Jesus Living in BalanceMuestra
Everyday miracles
Do you believe that God still works miracles today? In the Bible, we read about Moses parting the sea and Jesus bringing his dead friend Lazarus back to life. God has performed countless miracles, but instead of recognizing His greatness and omnipotence, we often dismiss these stories as fairy tales. We can't imagine it, so it can't be true.
Our skepticism can have countless causes. Perhaps you turned away from church and faith at an early age because you were hurt by fellow believers. Maybe faith and church didn't play a role in your family, but you had the feeling that there must be more to it. Regardless of whether you have already found faith or are still searching: we all have or need someone in our lives who opens our eyes to God's work.
With God, it is never too late to turn back to Him. He can straighten out any distorted image of Him and, unlike us, He can see behind our façade. He knows that behind a deep mistrust of everything that can be interpreted as a sign of divine activity, there is a deep longing. The longing that it is true. That there really is an almighty God who loves us above all else, who accompanies and protects us in our everyday lives and who welcomes us with open eyes after our death so that we can spend eternity with Him.
Our God is a God of miracles. He can raise the dead (cf. John 11:43-44), He can use ravens to deliver food (cf. 1 Kings 17:3-6), with Him even animals can speak (cf. Numbers 22:28-30). Not only in the time of David or Jesus, but also today. But every miracle needs a first step on our part. Do you want to believe that it is a miracle and that God performed it or do you always try to find a "rational" explanation first? Jesus gave everything, He was beaten, spat on, crucified and abandoned by His friends so that you can live in freedom. His sacrifice is the greatest miracle of all. But for it to have its effect in our lives, we have to accept it for what it is: an undeserved gift.
Next Step: Look out for small miracles in your everyday life: The parking lot right in front of the doctor's office, the otherwise always so annoying customer who suddenly cooperates. How does your thinking and your everyday life change when you consciously notice these small gifts from God?

Why am I so stressed? Why don't I get any rest even when I get enough sleep? Why do I feel so pointless in my job? God wants to replace your stress with his Sabbath rest and your job dissatisfaction with his divine calling for your workplace. To do this, we need to look to Jesus. He helps us to make every decision through the lens of God's kingdom.
