Good To Know: Good Advice For A Better LifeMuestra

This proverb resonates with me, and when I read it, I immediately think of recent conversations I've had with my kids. Like most of us when we were young, we wanted success, had big goals, but maybe weren't willing to put forth the work.
There's absolute wisdom in working hard. Good work habits can lead to amazing accomplishments. We know that working hard is a common characteristic among successful people. Sure, they may have sacrificed some late nights and early mornings, but nothing worth having comes easy. Having a healthy "can't stop, won't stop" approach to life can create good work habits.
In all of our lives, we all have things we crave and want. But, if we don't take steps to make it happen, we aren't going to get it.
Fortunately, diligence is a virtue that can be developed over time. It can be a game changer for the rest of your life to learn what it takes to work hard and reap the benefits of your diligence. So work hard. Focus on being diligent. And whatever the end result might be, know that your soul will be richly supplied with something much more valuable than any material gained.
In other words: keep grinding.

Questions for Reflection:
- Make a list of short-term goals that can be accomplished this week. What is one thing you can do or change to help fulfill your goals?
- Think of someone you know who is diligent. Describe what you have observed about them that you can apply to your own life.
